About Me

I’ve been there, searching for my passion, looking to make a contribution to the world in some small way, seeking success and acknowledgement from the world for what I do. But the most important thing that I have achieved in my search is the knowledge that I hold the keys to success, well-being, and happiness within myself.

Whether I am working with my clients, teaching, or supporting my children, family and friends, or contributing in my community, my mission is to help others achieve success, happiness, and wellbeing from their inner resources,  strengths, and wisdom.

I began my work in clinical settings as a dance therapist, using traditional approaches to emotional healing. After starting my family, I returned to graduate school and received a degree in Organizational Psychology. There, I became passionate about the field of Positive Psychology and Positive Organizational Psychology, where I saw the amazing potential for growth and positive change that comes from focusing and building on strengths and intrinsic capabilities.

Since then I have been consulting and coaching, have facilitated workshops and training sessions for a variety of organizations, businesses, non-profits and educational institutions in: communication skills, conflict resolution and mediation, team building, and executive team development.  I have worked with teams and board members using Appreciative Inquiry and the MBTI for team development and visioning.

I use my experience and expertise with assessments to help clients access deeper understanding of their interpersonal skills and communication styles, explore their personality strengths, understand their leadership capabilities, and discover what work they are passionate about.

My private executive career coaching has enabled clients from varied professions transition successfully into new positions and careers, and has enabled executives and entrepreneurs develop outstanding management and leadership skills. My coaching client list includes executives and entrepreneurs from Hewlett Packard, Applied Materials, Cadence Design Systems, as well as from a wide range of non-profit organizations. I also coach and mentor budding entrepreneurs and artists.

Most recently, I have been on the faculty of Palo Alto University Undergraduate Business Psychology Program helping educate and train future business leaders.  I have had the wonderful experience to be an occasional guest lecturer for the Department of Organization and Management at the San Jose State University College of Business where I have led team-building classes for student entrepreneurs.

I am on the board of Mountain View Los Altos Community Scholars Program, a scholarship and mentoring program, where I see how personal determination and persistence can change the lives of disadvantaged students by giving them the opportunity of having a college education.

I am interested in ways that any individual and organization can contribute to positive change in the world through innovation and I write a blog about that, called “Business that Cares”.

I feel blessed to live with my amazing family in Silicon Valley and where I can meet with clients in my private office or favorite cafes.

Mainly, I love to laugh and dance and have lots of fun.
